Privately-Owned Inspection Stations Approved by the State

A rebuilt or restored vehicle may be inspected at one of the privately-owned Inspection Stations approved by the state, as shown below, or at your home or business, located in Georgia . The inspection stations charge a fee for the use of their facility. Their fee is not included in the fees due the state, $100.00 inspection fee and $18.00 title fee. Fees due the state must be paid with a check or money order payable to the Department of Revenue. An inspection fee ($100) is required each time the vehicle is inspected.

Contact the Inspection Station for their fee, acceptable method of payment, i.e. cash, check, credit card, money order, etc., directions to their station, the days and hours their station is open for inspections, etc.

All vehicles will be inspected on a "first come, first inspect" basis. The paperwork and the vehicle must arrive at the station at the same time.

No vehicles or paperwork will be accepted after 12 noon. The first 150 vehicles plus all re-inspections will be inspected if they are at the inspection station by 12 noon. The pink copy of the DOR Inspection Report must accompany a vehicle requiring a re-inspection. A vehicle that is driven to the inspection station will not be inspected. The vehicle must be towed to the station The vehicle must pass an inspection before a Georgia title (when a Georgia title is required) and/or license plate will be issued.
