I am an out-of-state resident attending school in Georgia. Am I required to register my vehicle in Georgia or must I register it in my home state?


As a non-resident student, you are not required to register your vehicle in Georgia as long as your vehicle is properly registered and visibly displays valid license plate(s) from your home state. If you chose to register your vehicle in Georgia, you must comply with all of the requirement of registration in this state.
