My dealer-issue temporary tag has expired or is
about to expire. How can I obtain an extension?
If your dealer has failed to obtain a title (when a title is required
for your vehicle in this state) for transfer to you within five-days
(5) of the expiration date of the dealer-issued temporary tag, you
may obtain one thirty-day (30) temporary tag from
their county tax commissioner's office free.

Your vehicle must be covered with Georgia liability
insurance for it to be legally operated in this state and for it
to be registered and a license plate (tag) issued. Non-motorized
vehicles (i.e. trailers, campers, etc.) and vehicles not
requiring registration (i.e. Mopeds, all-terrain vehicles, bicycles,
etc.) in this state are exempt from the liability insurance coverage
requirement. Click

You must submit proof that your vehicle has passed
an emission's inspection if required for your vehicle in your county
of residence. For a list of requiring counties, exempt vehicles,
