Dealer Internet Inquiry
Licensed motor vehicle dealers in this state holding a valid master dealer tag may
retrieve motor vehicle tag and title information from the Internet. This service
is not available to out-of-state or jurisdiction dealers.

You must complete a Dealer Internet Inquiry Registration Form authorizing one (1)
person with your dealership to access this department's tag and title database.
With the initial registration, only one (1) person with your dealership may access
our database.
Attach a signed letterhead request to your registration form that includes your
dealership's permanent twelve-digit (12) customer number assigned to you by this
Department's Motor Vehicle Division. Your twelve-digit (12) permanent customer number
can be found on your receipt for obtaining or renewing your current master dealer
tag, first tag - cost $62. The letter must include a contact person's name and phone
number. An officer of your dealership must sign the request showing their position
or title with your dealership after their signature.
Mail or fax your registration form and signed letterhead request to the following
address and/or fax number: Attention: Director's Office, DOR/Motor Vehicle Division,
P O Box 740381, Atlanta, GA 30374-0381, Fax Number (404) 362-6463
Once we receive the information, the registration will be processed and the codes
to access the database will be mailed to your dealership. Once you receive the access
codes you must register with the Georgia Technology Authority (GTA) at their web
site: http://services.georgia.gov/gta/ods-sales/newSubscriber.do
and pay a non-refundable $100 account deposit to set up a new GTA billing account.

Obtaining Tag & Title Information
After registering with the Georgia Technology Authority (GTA) and this department's
Motor Vehicle Division, you, a licensed motor vehicle dealer in this state holding
a valid master dealer tag, or your designated employee, may retrieve motor vehicle
tag and title information from this department's tag and title database by following
these instructions:
- Access the DOR/MVD web site at: http://www.dor-3jwx5l1/
- Click on ‘Online Services'
- Click on ‘Dealer Tag and Title Inquiry'
- Enter your 12-digit permanent MVD assigned customer number as it appears on your
receipt for your master dealer tag, and tab to the next field
- Enter your User Number and tab to the next field
- Enter your Password and tab to the next field
- Enter the vehicle identification number (VIN) and click on the ‘Search Button'.
If a record is found, it will appear at that time.
Important: Please enter the correct and complete vehicle identification
number (VIN). Since the Dealer Internet Inquiry is a inquiry-based system, you be
will charged a one-dollar ($1.00) fee per inquiry
, even if a record is not found.
Designated users must use a computer located at your dealership to access the data
from this department's database. You are responsible for any unauthorized use of
this database.
The Department of Drivers Services, not the Department of Revenue, is now offering
individual Motor Vehicle Reports (MVR) via the Internet to certified requestors.
